Christmas Wishes from Piazza San Marco

Dear Friends,

2025 is about to come to an end and, as always, this year has flown so quickly. We are about to approach Christmas, a period during which we all tend to be more open and kinder with others. In fact, I am sharing this post not only because I want to wish you all the best Christmas Holidays and most serene of times, but also because I would like to share the fact that I believe these positive behaviors and feelings should be ever-lasting and continue throughout the entire year.

Venice, my city, is a place where people are almost obliged to constantly help one another. Its nature and unique features, such as the 'acqua alta' or the absence of cars which obliges one to carry heavy weights and walk for miles and cross bridges, may have their downsides ... but it is always so comforting to see people offering help to the elderlies and a hand to their neighbors. All Venetians, independently from their social class, walk the same stones and experience the same troubles. We are all on the same boat!

I have the fortune to work in the heart of Venice, Piazza San Marco, and I will never get tired of repeating how lucky I feel, grateful every single day. The Piazza has been the seat of social actions for centuries and the spirit of mutual aid remains deeply felt.

This is why I choose to open the door of my boutique and welcome you to come inside to experience the magic of creation. I decided to position my working desk at the door, to exemplify how the connection between the outside and the inside is an ongoing source of inspiration and also because I wish to prove once more my will to welcome all those who are ready to open their heart and allow themselves the marvel of a human exchange.

I do this in Venice offering my knowledge to school children, bringing my desk and tools to their classroom and teaching them not to fear to express their creativity, allowing them to use their hands and heart to create an artistic project. The art of lost-wax, thanks to the malleable nature of its matter, enables to shape emotions and ideas and I love it when I can share this with other human beings.

The workshops inside my boutique too are an enriching experience for me as much as for those who choose to invest their time to learn this craft, be it its ABCs or more detailed aspects. A unique encounter happens between me and the other soul, which goes beyond the mere lesson. We carve emotions masked as wax, and give a physical form to our deepest selves. These one-to-one lost-wax workshops are special for me and I look forward to meeting and welcoming new people from all corners of the globe!

I know I may be repetitive, but I would like to underline once more how grateful I am for all of this, for each person met along my path and all those who will come... and I think it is my duty to share this feeling and this need of love with all of you and to thank you for following along and being part of my journey.

With this said, even when times are hard, let's make kindness and openness a constant part of our lives. Merry Christmas to all of you!
